  • Announced Decentralisation of sanction and disbursement of scheme assistance to the Registered construction workers at district level creating Labour Officer (Social Security Scheme) in the districts and they will look after all the schemes assistances to the registered construction workers and issued amendments in G.O.   • Announced opening of 1 new district Labour Officer (S.S.S) Scheme office at Tiruppur with a total strength of 11 staff's sanctioned. ( G.O. No.85 L & E Department, Dated : 6.7.2009)

  • Smart cards for Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) under below poverty lines (BPL) families in Kancheepuram and Tirunellveli districts issued.   • Conducting awarness camps on the schemes provided by unorganised welfare boards in each districts. Government Order (Ms) No.101 Labour & Employment (II) Department) Dated:20.03.2013.

  • Construction of Integrated office complex for Labour Department at Trichy, Tanjore, Nagapatnam, Pudukottai, Perambalur, Cuddalore, Vellore, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Erode, Karur, Dindigal, Kanyakumari and Nilgiris (20 Districts) at the cost of Rs. 40.50 Crores from the funds of the Tamil Nadu Construction Workers Welfare Board.   • Conducting awareness on safety training by the Director, Industrial Safety and Health, Chennai, for the workers employed in building and other construction activities and also to their employees at the cost of Rs. 0.32 Crore from the cess fund of Tamil Nadu construction Workers Welfare Board.   • Contribution to the Construction Workers Welfare fund - Rate of contribution fixed at 1% vide G.O (Ms) No 295 (Labour and Employment (I2) Department) dated 17.12.2013.
