Conciliation Officer

There are 6 posts of Deputy Commissioners of Labour (Conciliation) and 15 posts of Labour Officers in the Region. The main function of these officers is the Conciliation and settlement of Industrial Disputes in their respective areas as Conciliation officers under the Industrial Disputes act, 1947

• Authority under Tamil Nadu Catering Establishment Act, 1958.
• Authority under Equal Remuneration Act, 1976.
• Authority to hear appeal under section 31 (2) of the Beedi and Cigar Workers (Conditions of Employment) Act, 1966.
• Inspector under the Payment of Bonus Act, 1965.
