Joint Commissioner of Labour (Concilation)

Joint Commissioner of Labour (Concilation) assists the Commissioner of Labour in the settlement of major Industrial Disputes as a Conciliation Officer with State-wide jurisdiction. He is dealing with all conciliation failure reports and other matters relating to amendments to various Labour Laws.

He is having the following statutory functions:

  • He is the conciliation officer under the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 with State-wide jurisdiction.
  • Chief Inspector of Plantations under Plantations Labour Act, 1951.
  • Besides this he is also associated with the following Statutory and Non-statutory Tripartite committee.
